CHINATOWN BEAT
September 4, 2007 by Chinatown Blogger.
I scan the police reports for anything unusual that happens in Chinatown weekly. The fact that I haven’t had much to report for most of the summer is a positive. It gives meaning to the expression “no news is good news”. Chinatown has a community watch which is doing a great job in deterring incidents. The Chinatown Crime Watch was recently featured in the Bay State Banner newspaper. This weekend the police reporter listed a man stabbed in Downtown and the Boston Herald Police Blotter reported sweeps to clean up prostitution.
Man Stabbed Downtown
Last night at 8:32pm, officers from District A-1 responded to a radio call for a person stabbed at 61 Beach Street. Officers responded to Boston Medical Center to locate the victim. Officers were advised that the victim, a 41-year-old male sustained a stab wound to the abdomen. The victim is in serious condition.
